Description

mesh3d.gallery is a curated showcase of the best WebGL, Three.js, and real-time 3D experiences on the web. Every site is hand-reviewed by me and my designer collaborator Majo before going up — no algorithm, no SEO bait, just genuinely impressive work that pushes what browsers can do. It started as a shared bookmarks folder. Majo and I kept sending each other links to jaw-dropping 3D sites — agency portfolios with cinematic intros, shader experiments, physics playgrounds, weird little interactive toys — and at some point it felt wasteful to keep that collection to ourselves. So we turned it into a gallery. We launched with around 150 sites we'd been collecting ourselves, and it now grows through community submissions from studios, indie creators, and agencies who want their work seen by people who actually care about creative coding. Every submission goes through both of us before it's published — if it doesn't make us go "oh, that's cool," it doesn't go up. That bar is the whole point. Each entry is auto-tagged with the tech behind it (Three.js, R3F, GSAP, Babylon.js, and others) so you can browse by stack, by technique, or just by vibe. We've also added voting recently, so visitors can surface the entries that genuinely resonate — a strong signal from the community on top of our editorial pick. Beyond the gallery itself, we've been expanding the project sideways. There's a newsletter that goes out with the standout new additions and notable work from around the 3D web, and a blog where we dig into techniques, breakdowns, and interviews with creators. The goal is to make mesh3d a place you visit and a place you hear from — not just a directory. If you're a developer trying to figure out how a particular effect was pulled off, a designer hunting for references, or someone just looking to lose half an hour clicking through beautifully weird websites, the gallery is built for you. And if you're a creator, it's a destination where the right audience actually shows up. Most "awards" sites are slow, paywalled, or buried in ads. We wanted something fast, free, and genuinely curated.
