Changelog
What's new at MarketingDB
Every update, feature, and milestone — from day one.
Submit in two steps — details, then plan
Submit starts with the product URL, then a listing preview, main info, images, and a launch plan. Free has 7 slots a week — pick any of the next 10 weeks. Premium stays open any day.
7 free slots each week in 2026; Premium without an account
Free listings are capped at 7 per ISO week (Monday–Sunday, UTC) for all of 2026 — Premium stays open any day. You can launch Premium without signing up; checkout collects your email and we attach the listing. Free launches still need an account so you can restore the badge.
Dofollow for verified badges; nofollow if the badge is removed
Free listings now pass a dofollow backlink only while the MarketingDB badge stays on the product site. We re-check every two weeks: if the badge is gone the link becomes nofollow; if they put it back, dofollow is restored. Premium/featured listings stay dofollow for their featured window without a badge. Listing pages are ISR with unique copy, FAQ schema, and faster IndexNow pings so product-name searches can land on /project/[slug].
Listing pages: built-in FAQ + markdown support
Every project page now auto-generates a Frequently Asked section from the listing's own fields (what is it, who is it for, pricing, tech stack, category). Descriptions render markdown — bold, lists, links, and code blocks all display cleanly instead of showing raw asterisks.
Redesigned submission flow
New /submit page with a sticky top bar, sidebar navigation across all sections, smooth scroll, and live red/green dots showing which fields are still needed. Tech-stack picker is now a single compact row per tool. Badge embed code lives as a one-tap copy button on the preview itself.
SEO compliance update
Reviewed every outbound link rel attribute to align with Google's link-spam policy: paid and badge-verified placements carry rel="sponsored", default user-submitted listings carry rel="ugc nofollow", and admin-revoked listings carry rel="nofollow". Public copy and llms.txt updated to match.
Quieter, cleaner UI everywhere
Slimmer site header with fewer competing borders and chips. Submit page header hidden during the listing flow to reduce distraction. Featured-on badges removed for faster page loads and a more focused browsing experience.
Done-for-You Directory Submissions
Launched a fully managed submission service. We handle every listing across 30–100+ directories, earn quality backlinks, and send a full report — so you stay focused on building.
Blog with SEO guides
Published in-depth guides on SaaS directories, backlink strategies, and product launch playbooks to help builders grow through search.
Directory-first experience
We retired the social community feed so MarketingDB stays focused on curated listings, SEO article pages, and your workspace — without the noise of a separate feed.
Premium Launch — featured after checkout
Pay $13 to skip the badge: when payment succeeds, your listing is approved and marked Featured on the home feed.
Category pages & search
Organised all listings into categories. Each category page is SEO-optimised so products get discovered through relevant queries.
Upvotes, bookmarks & profiles
Users can now upvote tools they love, save bookmarks, and manage all their submissions from a personal profile dashboard.
Free badge verification launch
Opened submissions to everyone. Add our badge to your site, verify it, and your product goes live instantly with a permanent indexed listing — completely free.
Domain acquired — MarketingDB is born
Registered marketingdb.live and started building. The idea: a free, permanent directory where every listed product earns a real indexed listing. No paywalls, no tricks.
