What are UTM parameters?
UTM parameters are tags you add to a URL so analytics tools (like Google Analytics or Plausible) can attribute a visit to a specific source, medium, and campaign. They never change the page — they just travel along in the URL.
Which UTM parameters are required?
utm_source, utm_medium, and utm_campaign are the three you should always set. utm_term and utm_content are optional and mostly used for paid search and A/B testing.
Why are my values lowercased with no spaces?
Analytics treats Email and email as two different mediums, so inconsistent casing splits your reports. This builder lowercases values and replaces spaces with underscores so your data stays clean and groupable.
